Determinism Types & Examples | What is Determinism? - Video & Lesson Transcript | Study.com
The idea that things are or aren’t deterministic in texts is wrong. Everything is subject to some, in differing amounts. That’s how it works. ie: “There is one main message that the author is trying to teach the children that are watching and there is no room for question the points that the author is bringing forward. In complex television like The Soprano’s, there is room for interpretation….”

I have often thought this would be a good idea. This article points out that it would be handy for scientific journals. The old paper book has had it’s day to be honest. There is more to one side to a story, its a learning adventure that should extend beyond the cover of the book.
I’m currently working hard with a great team of volunteers on the paperback edition of The Myths of Innovation. We’ve hit on a problem that can use some more opinions. You guys have be…
Summer reading—done at school? A growing number of districts are experimenting with keeping school libraries open, with entire collections available, through the vacation season.
in the UK, there has been talk of click-and-collect services during covid, not sure if it actually happened anywhere but if it did, there is no reason why they can’t do the same during summer holidays and term breaks. This is an online resource for those who see libraries as a essential resource, rather than a cheeky way to take the money and refuse to provide the service we paid for.
Click and Collect? Ideas to keep your school library going during Covid-19
Managing and running a school library service during the Covid-19 pandemic has obvious challenges. Valerie Dewhurst discusses her approaches, including a Click and Collect book service, Book Boxes, and virtual celebrations
There’s this, but yep, an app your uni recommends would allow all colleges and unis to offer the service to students. The costs of new books are silly tbh and you only use them once, if at all.
Top websites for students to buy and sell textbooks - Study International
One way students can save money each semester is to sell old textbooks and buy older copies of new ones, instead of buying them brand new. Textbooks are A list of established and convenient websites for buying and selling textbooks.
Newcastle Uni has a programme for this, but there should be a site or app where you just list your course and it finds the cheapest version of each second-hand book you will need.

You can laugh, but there are good lessons to be learned from this story. I suggest the op read this article. “True, reliable eyewitness accounts are never completely parallel and identical. Instead, they are different pieces of the same puzzle, unintentionally supporting and complementing each other to provide all the details related to what really happened.”
Did Jesus really feed the 5000 with 5 loaves and 2 fish?
When I started this project, I did not want to create just one more ho-hum book that just lists spices and herbs from around the world. I wanted to bring that world to you! I wanted something different, something to Spice up your Life! Something with interaction, fun to share to provide a healthful ... Read more

Most bad recommendations on Amazon are due to gifts. They must have sussed this out by now, Just give me what others like me bought innit – its almost like bing algo runs amazon, awful.
Agreed. I buy physics books from Amazon, only it recommends science fiction gifts like starwars figures. I mean, this AI is thick as shit. It can’t even find books by the same author when it spams me with recommendations. Needs to be improved as people are getting sick of naff recommendations from amazon and netflicks, it defeats the object and hides more promising suggestions.

Print textbooks should be banned everywhere! Paper production is one of the greatest threats to the environment.
Why are schools still using textbooks in this age when they can easily access limited digital learning resources?
https://kitaboo.com/importance-of-ebooks-in-education/
Given that textbooks become outdated every other few years, they are a waste of money and should be completely removed from classrooms!
didn’t realise these exist but searched and found this, which looks cool,
This? (already)
They exist, and you can buy them on Amazon.
Agreed. at least digital books can be fixed when link rot sets in. Read this http://epubsecrets.com/when-good-links-go-bad-link-rot-in-ebooks.php

This link isn’t really related but I had to share it. Check the video.
I thought I had one of these once, but just googled the book and it was a misprint or something went wrong. Probs a collectors item, not.
There is actually a spine down the middle of the pic you posted, so they don’t fall down.
I like this idea of just stacking them without the shelf. Looks great but takes room.
Some schools in New Zeland do this, not sure why they don’t do it elsewhere seeing as their goal is to improve litracy.

They exist. They don’t have to be plastic as such, but more like coated paper like modern bank notes.
A full sofa version of this would be amazing.
The ulitmate already exists as a chair, not sure if you can get a full setee sized one though.
I always wanted to make something like this for my home office.
4 KILO people? An increase of 25%… At the Church of the MULTIPLICATION? Sounds fishy but at least they caught the jew that “SMOKED” it.

Not sure how accurate this idea is tbh. It wasn’t specified if these 2 fish were the same species or not. So it could be fishesfinger sandwiches/buns/baps/baguettes. https://www.grammarly.com/blog/fish-fishes/#:~:text=The%20plural%20of%20fish%20is,often%20referred%20to%20as%20fishes.
So long, and thanks for all the fish slippers.
“The fish were this big”. Yes, Jesus was prone to exaggeration. No wonder Matt, Mark, Lucas and Jonny foreigner pimped the tale somewhat.

Nom Nom – Greedy Pig
Would love this – anyways here is a good one to start with, by Chuck D himself.
Used to listen to these but they stopped posting them, not sure why – Google doesn’t mind pinching content to go beside its ads.
Just the choice to ensure Stephen Fry isn’t reading it would do for me.
OMG – I NEED THIS – ESPECIALLY THE CHOICE TO SPEED THE PACE UP, SLOW READERS DRIVE ME NUTS.
Most bad recommendations on Amazon are due to gifts. They must have sussed this out by now, Just give me what others like me bought innit – its almost like bing algo runs amazon, awful.
Don’t know why they only read online articles and not those you take a pic from in the newspaper etc.

Paperboy app lets you take the pic of the article and it finds you the online version – still needs to be able to read it to you though. Nice idea.
Good idea, but could mess with your kid’s head. Musk held his AI back for fear of it being exploited.
there’s this on product hunt but it doesn’t use feedback from your kid, yet.
Blimey, it almost exists already. Just set this thing off with “Once upon a time…” and it’s off…

Better idea… QR codes IN books!
Jarrod Robinson nailed this idea. Why don’t they do it?
You could possibly automate this with IF THIS THEN THAT
I saw one of these on Amazon, this might do the trick
