Jesus fed fishfinger sandwiches to 4 kilopeople
The idea that, according to Matthew 15 (Matthew 15:32-39) and Mark 8 (Mark 8:1-9), Christ managed to feed 4,000 famished followers with 7 loaves of bread and 2 fishes (both of undisclosed size).
Both of these historic journalists changed their story with a slight exaggeration (to the tune of 25%) when JC increased the order to accommodate an extra 1,000 devout diners in (Matthew 14-Matthew 14:13-21; Mark 6-Mark 6:31-44; Luke 9-Luke 9:12-17; John 6-John 6:1-14).
4 KILO people? An increase of 25%… At the Church of the MULTIPLICATION? Sounds fishy but at least they caught the jew that “SMOKED” it.
You can laugh, but there are good lessons to be learned from this story. I suggest the op read this article. “True, reliable eyewitness accounts are never completely parallel and identical. Instead, they are different pieces of the same puzzle, unintentionally supporting and complementing each other to provide all the details related to what really happened.”
Not sure how accurate this idea is tbh. It wasn’t specified if these 2 fish were the same species or not. So it could be fishesfinger sandwiches/buns/baps/baguettes. https://www.grammarly.com/blog/fish-fishes/#:~:text=The%20plural%20of%20fish%20is,often%20referred%20to%20as%20fishes.
So long, and thanks for all the fish slippers.
“The fish were this big”. Yes, Jesus was prone to exaggeration. No wonder Matt, Mark, Lucas and Jonny foreigner pimped the tale somewhat.
