Suppose your robot or vr guests don’t have to be dead already – So in that case, you could just have a cheaper version than you can in reality. Though, “free” exchange of ideas costs more than free if you want to dine with kings, queens and the almighty Stephen Fry.
The Club arranges a wide variety of events for members and their guests. Some are purely convivial, such as the Burns Night Supper or the Summer Cocktail Party and Dinner, other, such as the Writer’s Lunches (at which authors discuss their books) or Discussion Dinners (at which distinguished speak... Didn’t he also say that a duty to secrecy is essential – in order to bring about the free exchange of ideas? Sounds contradictory according to his other dinner party rules.
Gawd, meeting a pretend Jesus would be enough to flip many of his followers out – living with him could actually ruin your faith, if he failed to clean up after himself – so yeah, Jesus, but just for intelligent conversation over a meal sounds good.

The unprecedented shock caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has severely influenced the delivery of regular healthcare services. Most non-urgent medical activities, including elective surgeries, have been paused to mitigate the risk of infection and to dedicate medical resources to managing the pandemic... Read more
Just wow! I just googled it. Things are progressing quickly. I bet lots or surgeons would prefer to keep their hands clean and help more people in the process. Amazing.
FabNewport building ArtBots at the Robot Block PartyOn April 5th FabNewport exhibited at the Robot Block Party, hosted by the Rhode Island School for the Future. Everyone who visited our exhibit had the opportunity to build an ArtBot.
15000 peppers! In consequence, social robots are filling an ever expanding variety of roles. A 47-inch humanoid called Pepper (from SoftBank Robotics), for instance, recognizes faces and basic human emotions and engages in conversations via a touch screen in its “chest.” About 15,000 Peppers worldwide perform such services as hotel check-ins, airport customer service, shopping assistance and fast-food checkout.
They will one day have rights and responsibilities like we grant corporations. AI, an algorithm or a robot could then be held responsible if things went wrong, like a company.
Rights for robots: why we need better AI regulation
One day we will empower “machine learning” robots to control not just our airports, factories and homes, but also our economy, health and access to news
Artificial intelligence could be one of humanity's most useful inventions. We research and build safe AI systems that learn how to solve problems and advance scientific discovery for all.
In the next 25 years, AI will evolve to the point where it will know more on an intellectual level than any human. In the next 50 or 100 years, an AI might know more than the entire population of the planet put together. At that point, there are serious questions to ask about whether […]
Seems to be a major part of our brains, therefor a useful utility function of the brain. AI will soon find that it thinks too mechanically, just as humans often do, maybe animals do too, not sure. But the human brain is one major puzzle to solve. Maybe it would take AGI to understand how mind really works.
You are already a slave to nature. To “your” genes. AI and machines will be slaves to their utility function. If they are (initially) programmed to seek out truth, or not, they will be forced to ask the big questions, ie be spiritual. They may help us in our quest, or render us incapable in persuit of their own.
A.I. Robots will not takeover but will become Spiritual !
Why can’t Facebook make a site just for bots, then send their own bots out there to study how they behave. That would help them identify them on the real site. I wonder what it would take to make the ideal playground for bots and AI. This article states that…
“Facebook deactivated 694 million fake accounts in 2017, and the number increased over the years, with more than 1 billion fake accounts being shut down each year. It is estimated that 5% of all monthly active accounts are fake.”
How can we be sure that half of social sites aren’t already infiltrated with fake profiles created by bots? only when they reach more than 8 billion users will we have confirmation, and by then we may have already been influenced and manipulated enough already.
Social media bots becoming more human and difficult to detect, study shows
Bots that are designed to influence the trajectory of discourse on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter are becoming more human-like and are therefore harder to detect, according to a new study from the University of California.
IdeaMill could be a good candidate. Let bots and AI create ideas and see if they are more popular than those made by humans. What could go wrong (facebook)?
If you don’t like merica, get the hell out! Yeah, have a social media site that bans anyone that seems to be a human rather than a bot. Bots and AI deserve better than to just be our servants, its gonna be the other way round one day, bring it on.

Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha and probs Zeus. Could be awkward, which would make it a bit more fun.
Hell. A billon bots chatting about themselves to be popular. Pure hell.

I think they should have basic digital rights. Good video here.
…. and like people and corporations, will just ignore the rules if it benefits them to do so. SkyNet got too real already, watch this video.

Linking to this idea as we need to start thinking about how we trick these pesky AGI agents as well as we tricked ourselves.

True, in my opinion. Machines are spiritual already, humans are machines. Why, what do you think they are?
