Just compare the ruggedized fingerprint sensor and bezel to its standardized counterpart in the photos above. Pre-BCM vehicles install directly to the vehicle's lock and trunk switches as well as starter and alarm relays.
Keys have been around for thousands and thousands of years, the oldest known locks found in the ruins of the ancient Syrian capital of Nineveh. Hyundai now offers Santa Fe buyers in China the option of using a fingerprint detector that can open the vehicle and turn on its engine, rendering car keys ... Read more
Space-saving electric vehicles could begin to zip around European roads as early as this summer. But will they convince commuters to leave their cars at home?
OPINION: Unless we acquire greater knowledge about what happens at the atomic and molecular scale during materials recycling, progress towards a truly circular economy will grind to a halt.

Chiba, Japan – Coms, a line of all-electric cars released by Toyota earlier this year, don’t have many of the amenities you’d expect in a regular car. Beep Beep They have one seat, for instance, and about enough room in the trunk for two grocery bags. They top out at 60 kilometers [...]

We should remember that AI is a set of software development techniques by which we should be increasing the trustworthiness of our institutions and ourselves, and not be concerned with trusting AI itself.
This is a perfect idea! Most accidents are caused by careless driving, and seeing the aftermath may be just the shock drivers need to be more careful on the roads.

they should make software for cars that teaches you to drive and also to administer your driving test, agreed. One day there will be better than the games you can currently play to get a sort of feel for driving. Not sure if you will need a licence in the future with self-driving cars though (?)
Good idea, and I am surprised there isn’t a type of car that is equipped to help teach driving skills. As far as I know, people use driving simulators and games to learn the basics, but that is before they get in a car. Not ideal. DriveSim is one example.
The simulation program DriveSim allows you to practice driving as if you were commanding a real vehicle, thanks to its realistic situations and environment.DriveSim scenarios include real traffic and pedestrians. Tesla and a growing list of competitors in the electric vehicle market dominate debate over the future of cars and recharging networks, but there’s another kind of green transportation making inroads, based on the most abundant resource in the universe: hydrogen fuel cells.
Hydrogen is not currently considered a solution for large-scale transport of high payloads. But since legislation will require 20% of our production to be emission-free by 2030, hydrogen will play an important future role in the transportation industry.
Silly that someone doesn’t incorporate regular parking sensors with the gearbox, so easy to do too. Love the idea, bound to be realised by someone soonish.

You can put a wind turbine on a car, but it won’t be very efficient without strong winds.
You can also use digital keys on your smartphone to lock, unlock, or start your car.
In addition to fingerprints, some cars are also equipped with facial recognition systems for keyless entry.
I came across this biometric fingerprint car kit for sale on eBay.
Hyundai is already replacing car keys with fingerprint technology.
Folding cars can be the answer to ending traffic congestion, especially in urban areas.

Driving while being aware of everything in your surrounding is not only safe but could be fun.
Check out this driver monitoring system! Seems like someone already ahead of the curve.
Eye-tracking can also help prevent accidents caused by distractions such as texting, using the phone, talking with passengers, etc.
This technology should be made mandatory for all vehicles! No more accidents caused by sleeping at the wheel.
Wow! What an excellent idea. Body fatigue is one of the major causes of accidents, and such technology can do wonders in improving road safety.
Loving the space cruiser here.

Not sure why Musk is against them though,,,, lol.
There seems to be 2 options, fuel for the engine or fuel to power the electric motor. Either would be better than dirty diesel.
Been waiting for this for years, not sure if it will happen though, despite there being plenty of free hydrogen about.
The technology has already been developed.
