I’m thrilled to announce that Virgin has created another world-first with the introduction of the technology required to produce the worlds first glass-bottomed plane. This technological innovation coincides with the start of Virgin Atlantic Airways first ever domestic service to Scotland.
Smaller cheaper airports should do this. Wouldn’t take much for someone to make a site that pulls empty seats information and lists them by airport so folk can book one when they arrive for a random holiday.
Looks like none of the main airlines discount chartered flights, which is a shame. Surprised they don’t go out of their way to sell empty seats, especially when they could just have an online booking terminal at the airport.
Turning up at the airport for cheap flights? - Air Travel Message Board - Tripadvisor
Answer 1 of 15: I'm going away over easter but I don't know where and I don't really mind.
Is it still true that I can just turn up at the airport and try and get a cancelled flight on the cheap? If it is where do I need to go when I'm at the...
Flying economy is difficult enough for the average passenger. Plus-sized passengers have it even worse. A few weeks ago I wrote about airlines with the least amount of leg room and it really opened my eyes to this fact. Luckily, not all airlines offer a terrible flying experience. Some of them offer... A London based design firm designed seats that could be adjusted to fit oversized passengers, but this just means making everyone pay for the gap in between. This doesn’t seem to solve the problem because now thin people will pay the price and overweight people will still splill into their allotted space, so agreed, someone needs to solve this problem still.
Transforming Airline Seats Adjust Width for Each Passenger
A London design firm has come up with the Transformer of airline seats that would allow an airline to adjust the width of the individual chairs between flights based on passenger needs.
just rearrange this so you are lying forward with feet at the back. Not sure why they can’t stack the wings like a biplane to make it require less room for a sly fly on a lunchbreak.
Air Ticket Arena is the first fully automated platform, which matches unsold seats on scheduled flights with air travellers actively looking to travel on short notice.
Here's how it works:
1. Airlines set the % of seats they want to sell (the âload factorâ), 24 and 48 hours before depart... Read more

These look cool. Not sure what range they have but I know a guy at work who would love one, He is always jumping out of the office into the carpark to watch planes go over as he has an app that pings him whenever there is something nearby. Last week it was a bunch of ww2 spitfires and before that it was one of those weird jumbos with a big round radar thing on top. He would buy it, but not sure who else would.
WATCHES NEWS !!! Tokyoflash has created a radar watch that scans the skies (or your wrist) Tokyoflash is one of my favorite watchmakers. Unabashedly analog, ...

Flying hoverboards are already here!
Wow! This DIY flying inflatable boat is so cool!
This boat might not take to the skies, but it flies, or rather glides, over the water.
Check out this flying boat from 1945 that is still in operation!

Flying boats were popular in the early 1900s before modern aircraft came into the scene.
Does this mean that we will get flying traffic police too?
We also need a flying car!
These need to be mass-produced immediately!
Even pilots and air crew members want to fall in love in the air.

Air port dating apps are on the rise with many passengers looking to hook up as they travel
There is a “Tinder for air travel” that you can use to hook up in-flight or at the airports – at your own risk of course!
Forget Tinder! Dating and finding love in the air is the next big thing
I couldn’t watch it, not after seeing this clip.
I could watch this all day, better through a screen than an awkward window.
Only for those without glass-bottomed planes (which should be an idea on ideamill somewhere).

Southwest Airlines let you choose your seat size before flying, which is probably what other US airlines should do.

Can’t wait till you can just buy these. They exist, amazing. Like the bike itself, it waited to long to be developed.
I would prefer a helicopter, but you need a field and loads of equipment just to get it there…. at the moment.

AT Arena is a bit of a joke and scammy – as far as I know, there isn’t an app that does this properly.
air ticket arena does this i think
Bidroom should do this, no reason why the airlines won’t give them the discount tickets to auction off.
you need a major drone for this but doable I guess.
So glad someone mentioned these, you can get them and use them on the plane but check out some of these weird ones. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuZpuSk_pGA

Great idea, currently I think they are only using microlites rather than drones – but yeah, James Bond would be first to use one.
