Nope, life fights entropy – Living organisms, usually cope with entropy, because they take energy into the body in the form of food, whereas in the case of plants, in the form of photosynthesis, and at the same time, during this process, some energy is given out, or some energy may be wasted.
What does entropy mean? How does a living organism cope with entropy?
What does entropy mean? How does a living organism cope with entropy?. Ans: Hint: Entropy is the variable, which is generally used to tell about of the disorder of the system, or it can also be defined as the amount of energy that is available in the…
Don’t believe the dictionary or any POP SCI GUY who don’t get what it is. Entropy is a measure of the amount of hidden or missing information contained in a system, not a measure of the amount of available or unavailable energy.
Don’t believe the dictionary: entropy is information, not energy
The challenges and claims of hypothetical violations of the Second Law of thermodynamics have been a topic of many scientific, philosophical and social publications, even in the most prestigious scientific journals. Fascination with challenging the Second…
Actually, Entropy is Fighting Life Too – By Means of Evolving Consciousness (without you realising it). You Tell Me, See Who Wins In The End Times. Heh.
New Theory Suggests That Consciousness Is a Byproduct of Entropy
Death just became even more scary: scientists say people are aware they’re dead because their consciousness continues to work after the body has stopped showing signs of life.
Nearly all your emotions are filtered through
Til nothing’s as good as you’d like it to be
Til all expectations are tinged with despair
In the stagnant presumption that nothing can be
As good as it was in the books
The girl who lives up to her looks
The man who provides her a dream
And the glorious way it “should” be
But forget it, it “won’t ever happen to you”
If you’re feeling down then they want you to
Up’s the direction to glorify in
Consider the fact that most of your sins
Are parts of morality that died years ago
But continue existing til the alternative’s known
They, the big ones, the T-H-E-Y
The term we all use to pass ourselves by
Are barriers of silence to the ideas we preach
Til our slogans descend into figures of speech
So don’t shout ‘fuck you!’ if you don’t like my choice
Try thinking of something that gives you a voice
Someone’s ability to lead you along
Does not make him more than a writer of songs
But if your really want to sing it
Then yeah! Sing along
But don’t think the end result is making you strong
Do what you want when you want if you can
It’s oh so much better than having it planned
If countries were run on spontaneous thought
Then maybe we’d base things on love a bit more
The feelings you get when someone you know
But had never dared speak to, comes up, says “hello”
When somehow the whole world exists in one kiss
And you long for the things
You swore you’d never miss
Gut feelings, the stomach, the head spins around
There’s so many things we don’t talk about
If I gave a lecture on the glory of sex
Instead of a lecture on political crimes
You’d get red and embarrassed and shuffle your legs
And they say that we live in spontaneous times
I’m told by ‘superiors’ we like it this way
Being told what to do in our lives day by day
Being ordered and disciplined is natural they say
And if that’s what your want you can hate me ok
I don’t expect less, it’s the thought for the day
But you’ll probably deny what you feel anyway
And even deny your own self-denial
Even deny your own self-denial
At this point I’ll stop or get bottled off stage
Or if it’s down in a book
Then you’ll rip out a page
Pure hatred is good in a frightening way
It can help you let out what you’re dying to say
Express what’s inside in a momentary rage
From normal suppression it makes a good change
But pure love or anger should not be the factors
That tell us apart from the everyday actors
Who live out the roles they were given to play
And suppress all their feeling and try not to say
That they love it! It’s beautiful! It tears them apart!
Or they hate it! It’s a bastard!
They don’t know where to start
Try opening your mind and see what falls out
It’s really amazing if you don’t think about it
Just go instinctive spontaneity drive
It’s reality stop number 35
Where they’re queuing for miles to watch you survive
On the freedom of conscience that keeps you alive
Keeps you alive
It keeps me alive!
There’s not many people who like the idea
Of a life without freedom but they all live in fear
Of losing the minute amount that they’ve got
They say that they know who they are
But they’re not
They’re all individuals under the skin
‘Born losers’ were told that no one can win
‘Born winners’ created by money, not skill
This structure is sick, it’s even making me ill
It rubs off on me, you can tell by these songs
But I went the other way, I think it’s wrong
Of fuck it’s all too much, it’s all out of touch
You’re telling me, I can hear you you see
I can see you can hear but you cannot believe
Cos your concept of life lies in envy and greed
But just cos you want something don’t mean your need
If you can hear and be conscious the rest comes for free
To bring it to basics this life is a dream
And when you wake up you will see what I mean
Now slag this song! Go on, tell me I’m wrong
Or tell me I’m right, whatever you like
But please don’t take so long
Or all the spontaneous thoughts will be gone
All the spontaneous thoughts will be gone
All the spontaneous thoughts will be dead and gone
It’s impressive enough that our human brains are made up of the same ‘star stuff’ that forms the Universe, but new research suggests that this might not be the only thing the two have in common.
Stupid people are more likely than eggheads to believe in God, a controversial new study claims. A British psychologist says he has found a link between having a high IQ and being an atheist.
"Entropy: The Ultimate Thermodynamics Game" by Azhmodai It's the ultimate game and you're already playing, whether you want to or not! You can't win. You can't break even. You can't even quit the game.
Law isn’t order – Anarchy isn’t chaos – Entropy isn’t disorder. Stop over-simplifying things. Check the entropy site if you want to get all heated up about it. How cool is this?
The concept of entropy developed in response to the observation that a certain amount of functional energy released from combustion reactions is always lost to dissipation or friction and is thus not transformed into useful work. Early heat-powered engines such as Thomas Savery’s (1698), the Newco... Read more
Time will tell….. “Physicists at the University of Zurich have developed a deceptively simple device that allows heat to flow temporarily from a cold object to a warm object without an external power supply.”
The Second Law of Thermodynamics is bent but not broken.
Don’t hold your breath. If this new theory pans out, quantum demons might someday power our air conditioners and refrigerators, saving you electricity and cheating the current laws of physics at the same time.
Argonne researchers posit way to locally circumvent Second Law of Thermodynamics | Argonne National Laboratory
But researchers with the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Argonne National Laboratory announced recently that they may have discovered a little loophole in this famous maxim.
nice idea, but the jury is still out on if it is the reason time goes one way only, everything else points to it being able to go both ways, just not for urr, us.
No, Thermodynamics Does Not Explain Our Perceived Arrow Of Time
Bet they didn’t realise at the time that the idea of the second law was what gives time a forward only direction. ie…”Entropy is one of the few quantities in the physical sciences that require a particular direction for time, sometimes called an arrow of time. As one goes “forward” in time, the second law of thermodynamics says, the entropy of an isolated system can increase, but not decrease.”

Professor Mike Merrifield does a good job of explaining what this idea entails. The second law is the interesting one though, because it has various formulations as it was thought up before people understood entropy. Yes you need to add energy to a system in order to make colder things hotter. With regards to entropy, Lord Kelvin states that you can’t turn heat directly into useful energy. Seems obvious really but its an idea that has stood the test of time and likely won’t be disproven.

understand that the quote about stars can't shine without darkness means that the best way to look at dark times is to understand that there are no endings but only new beginnings. And even if stars do shine, no matter if it is day or night, you should always look at everything in your life as an op... Read more

Yes, it’s a bit of a cheesey buzzword in science at the moment but this is the best video I can think of that describes entropy well.
Yawn, no. entropy is now just a quantum buzzword.

Our brains certainly are! You have got to read this to get the bigger picture https://www.sciencealert.com/human-consciousness-could-be-a-result-of-entropy-study-science
That’s one way of looking at it. and yes, there is only one way to go. Forward Christian soldiers, to our destiny!

none are electrical but they seem to work as I have seen good reviews online

Hmm, physics has been able to blame maths for being wrong for far too long now.
Logic has been a bit screwed since we discovered it was screwed.
Or just buy the fan so you can use any sheets. these look great tbh.
Why worry about that when we have plenty to worry about (and enjoy, and be mesmerised by) on Earth? Watch Sadhguru innit.

Entropy may not be what it used to be, but order can come back to where it once was. As above, so below. So it goes!

Me: when did entropy begin? Google/Wikipedia: In the 1850s.
IS the Universe a closed system? How could you disprove that it isn’t? Too many assumptions in order to KNOW the second law is ALWAYS right (for me).
