Fortunately Save the Children still accept one-off donations in cash. It makes the others seem a little ungrateful knowing they only want to know if you set them up with a continuous stream of funding from your bank. How the world has changed. Donate to savey, as we used to call it back in the day when they were the only charity shop in town.

Online Gambling sites for international children’s charities should be a thing. Who cares that you can’t do it in the US. The rest of the world spend heaps on online gambling and this money could go where it is needed. Someone like Musk, Bezos or Gates should set one up for irradiating children’s diseases, or a whole holiday park that collects money to solve the world’s problems. I would go to that rather than Disney.
The health lottery is as close as you will get in the UK.Though its legal to do fun runs and bingo nights lol – doesn’t compare with the entire industry of casinos for private profit. The health lottery is a first step though I guess.

“Cash donations peak in certain months of the year, for example, November and December, where 51% of people say they’ve given this way in the last four weeks. This compares to 42% in an average month across the year.”

Bless them the UK Rotary Club provide these to shopping centres and give the proceeds to charity, how commendable.
Would be good if they gave some of the proceeds to local projects like Liam’s Lunches too.
