No single government wants to pay to find a cure to Coronavirus and then give the cure away to other countries for free. They should club together a bit of investment each and share the rewards with those who invested. Could also work for environmental issues and other problems that affect people in multiple countries.
COVID could be a bit of a blessing when it comes to bringing all of humanity together to fight a common enemy.
