The idea that modern science suggests reality is contrary to reason or common sense, is utterly absurd or ridiculous – but when did it become that way?
For a long time, if an idea didn’t make sense, it was thrown out – today, it is still in with a chance.
Maybe a bigger chance seeing that only a few people can grasp modern concepts such as the quantum.
Science is way to speculative nowadays, it needs to go back to the basic assumptions, rather than keep adding new ones.

Sean Carroll would agree with you here. It’s the name of his website too. Nothing in the universe is set up that way to make it make sense to us. Why should it?
