Tax incentives for community service volunteers
The time and energy an individual invests to create a better society should be deemed as valuable as monetary contributions. This would encourage more people to become involved in their communities, foster greater awareness of societal issues, improve the quality of life and give people a greater sense of satisfaction and purpose in their daily lives.




In the United States, volunteers can file for tax credit, but only on unreimbursed expenses incurred during their charitable work.
Hmm, good idea but there is a major grey area to consider – Like the loopholes that allow profiteers class their organization as a religion or charity, for tax purposes – The idea of the “paid volunteer” could be a bad thing…
