Agreed, Google shouldn’t call it “Block” when it doesn’t block anything, just ads it to spam where you have to check for genuine emails anyways – now everyone thinks block means, “move to spam”
It’s crazy Google can’t get it together to allow you to ban an email sender. All social media sites set you free from folks you don’t want to hear from – but no, they just put it in spam. how silly.

Why Gmail can’t add this functionality is beyond me. It would be easy to do and would reduce so many chaotic mistakes.
