They could be small rounded mirrors in the top corner of the inside of the frames, to give you a rough view of what’s behind you to the side.

You can get them but unfortunately they are just gimmicky things to spy on your kids. Surprised this doesn’t exist for cyclists etc

You can get these view point mirrors that you can stick in any set of shades. not sure if they are any good though, nice idea if they work.

Yeah, like this review says, its almost impossible to place the mirrors on the lense in order for it to see past your head. So depends on which type of shades you have.
