Self-watering plant pots

I go away for weeks on end and need to ensure my plants don’t die while I am away. So I was overjoyed when I saw this Kickstarter project that lets solar power manage the sensing and watering of plants from a reservoir of water. If there are any other solutions already on the market, do let me know in the comments.
