Rubber sidewalks that allow trees to grow
Sick of seeing all those poor trees fighting a daily battle with crappy concrete, tarmac and flagstones, just to reclaim the land it found first. Make tiles of rubber that the council can cut away when needed, or better, dissolved if it senses a tree is trying its damndest to live nearby.

Great idea and this was a thing years ago, why then never caught on I don’t know. maybe they pollute or break easily?
