Loading...Local Wall of Fame in Each Town’s Museum or Library
They should introduce a simple wall with newspaper cuttings and photos and a computer terminal set up with a list of local achievers. Why? because the only famous person I know of from my home town is Timmy Mallet.
Our library has one of these walls, its a good idea. They also mention on a leaflet that you can receive up to 2,500 pounds in a grant for doing helpful things for the community, I have linked to some information about it here https://www.communityarchives.org.uk/content/news/2008/local-heroes
Agree this is a good idea, i mean look how dry the national awards are, these local people should be celebrated in their own towns.
