Not all countries allow it’s inhabitants to own land, nevermind getting it for free. I fear most people wouldn’t know what to do with their few acres and it would be wasted. Making human progress difficult. It could actually end civilisation if we demanded to share everything. Think on.

Sounds pretty socialistic but according to this the value we would all get would be immense. Levelling the land, or at least the spare and commonly owned land may be a good thing once in a while.
