Fold out wall shelves
They would be great for offices, schools and homes with little room. I saw a similar set up to this pic being used in a library van and was intrigued by their simplicity.

I helped a friend make something like this for a boat. the bracket is the only thing you need to buy if making normal fold-down shelves. They are a good idea imho.
