a vacuum airship for exploring other planets
I guess the safest and cheapest airship anyone could send to other planets would be empty! Just needs a geodesic structure that holds up and contains well, nothing!

Yeah, a geodesic ball that opens up to contain nothing, and it expands and contracts in order to go up and down. Could be a good idea in the end.
