He inspired countless kids when I was young, and is still working to entertain and educate the current generation of thinkers. We should make an award that is given to anyone who comes near him with regards to inspiring young minds.
The sci show guys would win this, and the khan academy guy.

(11 upvotes)He is totally on the ball too. Saw this a while back and realised how he inspired a generation. Yes, give him an award and let him choose who should also get one. Brilliant. We will miss him one day.
No offence to happy Hannah but for me, it was Jonny Ball that made maths sexy.
Wow, just google’d him and he was on numberphile recently. Still going strong, what’s wrong with the BBC? They nailed it, he should have been the David Attenborough or Patrick Moore of maths. Someone remind the Queen he is still waiting for his knighthood.
