A Google image search option to hide cgi renders
So that people searching for new technology can see things that exist in the real world, rather than graphics of projections or fanciful ideas search for space station and you get heaps of images of proposed future spacecraft and popular sci-fi graphics, rather than urr, real space stations.
There have been but a handful of real space stations created and launched. Yes, these do get lost in the mix of fantasy images google serves researchers.
But if it was left on, you would miss out on heaps of amazing art people are creating. Get with it.
Yeah, but fake stuff is becoming a real problem if you like the real world to stay separate from the fake world. Last time folk mixed those up you got a God and a church hell-bent on taking over the entire world. Just sayin’
CGI renders do have benefits. Just remember fake news is also pictorial. You can still spot the difference between reality and fantasy if you look close enough – one day, this won’t be so.
The guy who paid to create this fictional station believes in it just as much as other people believe the real station is fake. Each to his own. But I would like option to filter out anything that isn’t an actual photo in Google Images, so I like the idea tbh.
