How about a year of excommunication – simply be rejected by the church until you have served your sentence?
Live by the sword, die by the sword. If God says its wrong, you really ought to go to a real jail.
Or just make them “think” they have served thousands of years- found this, which I read years ago. These drugs are a real time killer for sure.
