How about a year of excommunication – simply be rejected by the church until you have served your sentence?

Got to be said, if you have a 100 year sentence, there is no reason to reform and become law abiding. I day though? not so sure.
then next prison they create should be purposfully built as a recycling centre, for sure. Great idea already seems to work in regular prisons.
