It would be great if you could have an app that breaks down how a certain sound was made or failing that, just have a list of the main items of equipment used to produce classic tracks or guitar sounds. Would be a great way to emulate the sound of great tracks and the develop it from there – could be a list in the cd or on the band’s page about each release.
The guitar and instrument brands that manufacture these items and pay stars to endorse them would be happy to receive the web traffic from those who may want to buy similar items.
Great idea – currently I think you can only get effects units that were inspired by certain albums/tracks
