Retain a relatively powerless (auxiliary) leadership that can throw out rotten governments when demand by we, the people. No need for killing innocents, burning babies or cleaning up the mental and economical wreckage caused by a silly war against yourself – like others did. Lead by example with a steady bloodless revolution.
80 years ago the crown and church guided our entire lives. Not now, a relatively short time and the monarchy is already irrelevant.
Here is the bad news for those idealists out there: relevancy is irrelevant. Not being relevant is about the best guarantee of the monarchy’s survival there is.
Leave the entertainment to princes, politicians and other pro-entertainers.
Alternative options aren’t that good either though – calls for string-em-uo, throw-em-out or even rob them of their inheritance to share out would just serve to humiliate them. They do an excellent job of keeping media scrutiny away from government and corporations. Just stop paying for the royals. Job done.
So my god! Ive never had a king before I might give it a try.
