Similar to fake news detectors that spot the tell-tale signs of misinformation, someone should build a browser extension that identifies product reviews with generic wording or identifies the ip address or user accounts of fake review bots.
Despite what they claim, Google is crap at spotting fake reviews. Most people in the biz know this is easy to manipulate as was getting high rankings years ago.
It would also need to cross-reference the fake crappy spam created by all the scammers on people per hour and fiverr too. Check them out – and be aware, most of these pretty women are really indian guys who can’t get a more honest job.
This is needed so badly. I spot loads of reviews that are likely generated by basic tools like Randommer.
