Depending on where you live EarthCam may be the best thing we have come to this. But I agree, if it’s footage of our streets, then why do only companies and not people get to see what is going on?
Because they paid for the camera. Buy one and start streaming.

Unless you want to monitor homeless folk trading medicine in backstreets, you might enjoy the Peregrine Falcon nest camera on Sussex Heights. I like the idea of streaming cctv but there should be a dedicated site just for nature stuff, not city stuff. Just saying’
Hmm, good idea to check out what the weather is like locally but don’t expect entertainment. I used to go to camstreamer and some of the most “popular” cctv streams are of stuff like “Jackson Hole Parking Lot” No thrills and spills there, especially during COVID.
