it could have a “bad” lip reading function for a laugh.
The HubblePhone also includes an Artificial Reality (AfR) messaging app which lets users send 3D-animated messages that are then projected into the recipient’s “immediate physical surroundings”.
lip reading with voice activation, means that you could spy on people and it flags a warning or alert if they mention any particular words you want it to watch out for, in any language.

AI does (bad) lip reading. just watches zillions of youtube and learns the patterns, words and gulp, meanings.
doesn’t have to be a spy ap,rml is good – just use the magnifier on your camera to spy on people far away. done!
Didn’t make the investment needed but someone should implement this on a crowdfuning site, it would sell…
Google’s DeepMind is better than humans at lip reading, this is amazing, soon any video could be transcribed in any language on youtube – better, using an app personally whilst on holdiay would make life so much easier.
Early days for lip reading apps and none of them translate to a different language yet, but watch this space.
