    I get the point of this idea but surely there would be no objection to giving to children’s charities. Which are btw more important than animals and plants – REMEMBER.

  14. Givetide should do this, though not sure how they would spot which charities you shouldn’t give to if you already give to one regularly. Nice idea but difficult to implement I guess.

  15. Most charities don’t have “opposing” charities. There is never a reason not to give to those less fortunate than yourself. Christian or not. Give to Oxfam they do great work and can be trusted always.

  16. Cancer Fund of America only gives 2.5% of its donations to support the families of cancer victims and fund cancer research. There should also be an app that stops you from donating to “Charities” that are run by crooks.

  17. Why do Starbucks give money to trans-rights groups? Children are starving in countries they get their resources. Deforestation, disease, poverty, don’t they matter anymore? Not against anyone’s rights by the way but get a grip on what matters most.

  19. Not sure who would dish out the licences, but you wouldn’t need one. None of the existing countries asked for permission, the trick is being recognised by others as one. Nice idea though, if I was Rich I would consider going it alone. I think Richard Brandson created his own island in order to do that – no not the virgin islands lol.

  20. Asgardia is a self-proclaimed “Space Nation”. Not sure what exactly that means but they didn’t get a licence and only really need to be recognised as a nation. However it is borderless, so anyone that claims to be an Asgardian is still under the jurisdiction of their actual nation.

  21. Currently you don’t need a licence to start your own country, state or nation, however it will only be recognised as such if you convince other nations to recognise you as a sovreign entity and to do that you would most likely need to join the UN. So not that likely, but it has been done…

  22. Branson did buy an island to impress a woman, he didn’t build it and he won’t be able to turn it into a country. Agreed, no licences are needed, but why not? Should be allowable if you own it and nobody that lives there objects.
