With micromobility technology taking over cities all around the world, we now have another aspect to concern ourselves with, which is how to recharge all…
MobiDock delivers a universal e-scooter and e-bike parking solution that uses wireless charging technology. “Our system increases micromobility options in cities and tidies up city centres at the same time,” says Dr Thomas J.J. Meyer, CEO of MobiDock.
Elad Dubzinski, CEO of Powermat, looks at pros and cons of shared micromobility models and how wireless power technology has advanced to solve the prevailing challenges that micromobility providers face
The Damon Hypersport electric motorcycle transforms between riding positions with the press of a button, has a 200-mile range, and a 200 mph top speed.
FSA, SRAM, and DMR have all reported fake sites in the past few days, so if you’re looking for a bargain, make sure everything checks out before you check out
Would love it if this came to the UK – Being in Brighton, I guess we would need to go somewhere away from the coast where there are lots of hills. Great new sport though, the bikes look great.
Motorcycle rear-end crashes by cars are very common, and riders often have very little time to avoid them. Therefore, proximity sensors can go a long way in increasing rider safety!
You do know that motorcycles speak right? It’s a form of communication. But yes, often too loud and often illegal. Just not upheld like many of the laws they make.
Yeah this really works. They tried the idea out in Paris a while back and things are getting better. More of a deterrent though. The sensors should be signposted to remind noisy bikers.
Paris suburb pioneers ‘noise radar’ to fine roaring motorcycles
Motorcycles thundering through residential neighborhoods, revving their engines and waking up every child in the street, may soon be a thing of the past in France. A Paris suburb is trying out a new system that can identify noisy vehicles, pinpoint their location and automatically...
While noise cameras are typically set up to detect any noisy vehicles, the devices in Paris are specifically targeting motorcycles with one set up in Saint-Forget, a hilly rural area near Paris popular with riders.
The Motor Cycle Noise Act 1987 prohibits the supply of motor cycle exhaust systems and silencers likely to result in the emission of excessive noise; and for connected purposes.
In the UK, the noise limit for a motorbike is set at 80dB, with an extra 6dB added to account for mechanical noise.

DecibelX looks good for measuring loudness but it would need integration with camera and messenger to send to the police. Like the idea though – noise is antisocial pollution
"Decibel X" is one of very few noise meter apps on the market that has highly reliable, pre-calibrated measurements and supports dBA, dBC. It turns your iOS device into a professional sound level meter, precisely measures the sound pressure level (SPL) all around you. This extremely useful and be... Read more
This #solarpowered wireless charging station for bikes and scooters takes sustainability to another level.

This is great; you don’t have to carry extra batteries when out and about.
Many cities around the world have been installing public wireless charging stations.
Wireless charging stations can encourage people to ditch cars for the more sustainable e-bikes and electric scooters.
Check out how seamlessly this auto-shifting e-bike handles rough terrain.
Electric bike technology keeps on getting better and better!
This is amazing! You can simply sit on your bike, enjoy the ride, and not worry about shifting.
It’s already been done! Several manufacturers are now producing auto-shifting #ebikes.

Looks like someone invented a relatively functional bicycle with square wheels. It’s still weird, though!

Square wheels in cars are a terrible idea unless you are looking for a bumpy ride and a damaged suspension.
Check out this rear blind spot detector for motorcycles with flashing warning lights on the dashboards!
Rear proximity sensors are currently at the top of the list of motorcycle safety features being developed.

According to this they do – another way for the govt to generate revenue from crime. Good idea!

Range and re-charge time are always going to be a problem with lecky motorbikes. Not quite nailed it yet.
Get with the program man, there are heaps of them out there already, some are just amazing.
Found the one you have a pic of – great idea
Prefer this sneaky “bike bar”
Better idea may be to incorporate it with the vest – hit something on the glove and both indicate which way you intend to turn.
Why not make the entire glove light up? Motorists behind don’t care if it shows an arrow. just give them enough light that flashes.
These are a great idea, I saw a cyclist I may not have seen – so am adding a link to Zakees who do them https://zackees.com/
