AR glasses are impressive, but I would choose a smartphone over them any day.

Magic Leap One notwithstanding, augmented reality gear isn't ready for the consumer market; AR headsets have a number of challenges to overcome before they are must-have gadgets.

Well, it won’t happen anytime soon, but this is a definite possibility as AR glasses become increasingly advanced.
